Your light is recoiling.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Darkness stands in your wake,<\/p>\n\n\n\n

and unchallenged, it reigns.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The gods have summoned you.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I suppose I ought to mourn the loss of my own life,<\/p>\n\n\n\n

grieve, for I am never again to see the sun yield to the stars,<\/p>\n\n\n\n

rage, for I am never to feel the sand caving under my feet,<\/p>\n\n\n\n

weep, for songs will not follow me underground,<\/p>\n\n\n\n

go mad for the loss of the breeze that my skin greedily drinks.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I suppose. I suppose. I suppose. And yet.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

Your eyes were ripped from you,<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Your ears were never to hear the world again, neither will mine.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Never will I breathe the air that does not travel to your lungs,<\/p>\n\n\n\n

for your throat was deprived from ever taking another breath.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

For even in death, I shall follow you.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

A dark caged kingdom,<\/p>\n\n\n\n

yours to rule, mine to obey.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Let me feed off the lingering air<\/p>\n\n\n\n

that clings to your mauled lungs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Let me lay next to you in this buried bed,<\/p>\n\n\n\n

wherein life never truly abandons you.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

I want spring to come,<\/p>\n\n\n\n

softly coax flowers to bloom from your body,<\/p>\n\n\n\n

lure your thirst for me to drip from your cold, lilac lips.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Death shall not do us apart.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We will remain eternal, untouched by ephemeral life.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

May winter arrive furious by your perseverance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

May the gods roar at your defiance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For history will forever bow down to its knees<\/p>\n\n\n\n
