Marched cheek by jowl<\/p>\n\n\n\n

incoherent as they were<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

The million eyes<\/p>\n\n\n\n

that had time to regret<\/p>\n\n\n\n

the days which grow wise<\/p>\n\n\n\n

as she claimed her head<\/p>\n\n\n\n

was saved by loons<\/p>\n\n\n\n

who were doomed to care<\/p>\n\n\n\n

and look after the moons<\/p>\n\n\n\n

incoherent as they were<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

In a shot framed wide<\/p>\n\n\n\n

wider than what she\u2019d claim<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Her sorrows magnified<\/p>\n\n\n\n

thoughts of fortune and fame<\/p>\n\n\n\n

in appalling manifestos<\/p>\n\n\n\n

which reasons were fair<\/p>\n\n\n\n

to be held as a memento<\/p>\n\n\n\n

incoherent as they were<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

A flickering light<\/p>\n\n\n\n

palm tree debris everywhere<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Yet the stars are in sight<\/p>\n\n\n\n

in every crowded street I stare<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The first watch of night<\/p>\n\n\n\n

the spokesman and his fanfare<\/p>\n\n\n\n

What a tremulous delight!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Incoherent as they were.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n
